Role & Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and monitor CNC and conventional machining equipment to produce high-precision components according to specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and work orders; select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters to meet tolerance and finish requirements.
- Perform first-piece checks and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Adjust machine programs and perform minor CNC programming or parameter edits to optimise production and part quality.
- Execute routine maintenance, tooling changes and basic troubleshooting to maintain machine reliability and minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with production planners and quality control to meet daily production targets on a 2x8 rotating shift schedule.
- Document process parameters, inspection results and non-conformities; implement corrective actions and continuous improvement suggestions.
- Adhere strictly to workplace safety, cleanliness and regulatory requirements within a high-precision manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Vocational qualification in machining, mechanical engineering or equivalent (e.g., Swiss CFC in Mechanic/Machining or similar).
- Proven competence working on CNC machines and conventional lathes/milling equipment.
- Strong ability to read and apply technical drawings and ISO tolerancing.
- Demonstrable experience with precision measurement and inspection procedures.
- Capacity to work a 2x8 rotating shift pattern and maintain consistent quality under production pressures.

Experience
Minimum three years of hands-on experience in precision machining; experience in watchmaking or manufacturing of high-precision components is strongly preferred.
Education
Vocational diploma (e.g., CFC) in machining, mechanical engineering or equivalent technical apprenticeship.
