Cartier is hiring a Jeweller in Paris — join the haute joaillerie atelier as a bench jeweller crafting and finishing luxury pieces.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute benchwork for high‑end jewellery pieces, including soldering, forming, filing, and finishing to exacting standards.
  • Set and secure gemstones using a variety of techniques (prong, bezel, pavé), ensuring optimal alignment and retention.
  • Interpret technical drawings and CAD-derived specifications to translate designs into finished objects.
  • Perform hand‑engraving, stone mounting, polishing and final quality finishing for haute joaillerie items.
  • Carry out in‑process and final quality controls against tight tolerances and Maison quality criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with design, product development and quality teams to resolve technical challenges and propose manufacturable solutions.
  • Maintain atelier equipment and tools; ensure cleanliness, organisation and compliance with safety procedures.
  • Document work performed and contribute to continuous improvement of bench processes and techniques.

Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma in jewellery making, goldsmithing, or equivalent (CAP/BEP or comparable technical qualification) or equivalent professional apprenticeship.
  • Minimum 3 years' bench experience in luxury jewellery, haute joaillerie or equivalent fine jewellery environment.
  • Demonstrable mastery of hand stone setting and finishing techniques suitable for high‑value pieces.
  • Strong manual dexterity, acute attention to detail and an uncompromising approach to quality and finish.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow precise specifications; aptitude for collaborative problem solving.

Experience

Education

Vocational diploma or apprenticeship in jewellery making/goldsmithing (e.g., CAP/BEP) or equivalent professional training.
