International Finance Controller
Cartier — International Finance Controller (6–8 month contract) in Meyrin, Switzerland. Seeking a senior controller for consolidation, reporting and international close.
Overview

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and execute monthly, quarterly and annual close activities for assigned entities, ensuring accurate P&L and balance sheet reporting.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and support group reporting requirements.
- Analyse variances against budget and forecast, deliver actionable commentary to business leaders and propose remedial measures.
- Coordinate with local finance teams across jurisdictions to reconcile intercompany balances and resolve accounting issues.
- Support statutory audits, tax audits and internal control reviews; ensure adherence to internal control frameworks and group policies.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within consolidation, reporting and close cycles (ERP and reporting tools).
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting and long‑range planning cycles; deliver scenario analysis for international operations.
- Provide ad‑hoc financial analyses and project support for cross‑functional initiatives, mergers/acquisitions or system implementations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; Master’s degree or professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred.
- Demonstrable technical knowledge of IFRS and multi‑GAAP reporting.
- Proven ability to manage month‑end close and statutory/consolidation processes in a multinational environment.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the capacity to synthesize complex financial data for senior stakeholders.
- Rigorous approach to internal controls, compliance and audit readiness.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages are an asset (language requirements not specified in source).

Typically 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with prior responsibility for consolidation, group reporting or controlling within international or multi‑entity organisations; experience in luxury goods or retail is advantageous.
