Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the commercial strategy for the assigned geographic area, aligning sales, merchandising and pricing to brand positioning and business objectives.
  • Own P&L performance: set targets, monitor results, propose corrective actions and drive margin optimisation across retail, wholesale and key accounts.
  • Lead a multi-channel sales organisation, ensuring seamless coordination between boutiques, wholesale partners and digital channels to maximise revenue and client retention.
  • Develop assortments, pricing architecture and promotional tactics in close collaboration with Merchandising, Product and Marketing teams to optimise sell-through and inventory turnover.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing commercial team; recruit talent, set objectives, deliver coaching and implement performance management frameworks.
  • Analyse market, competitor and client data to identify growth opportunities, demand shifts and category white space; translate insights into commercial initiatives.
  • Negotiate commercial terms with wholesale partners and key accounts, safeguarding brand equity while expanding distribution and market share.
  • Ensure operational excellence through rigorous forecasting, inventory governance and alignment with Supply Chain and Retail Operations to mitigate stock risk.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in a commercial or sales head role within the luxury goods sector, ideally jewellery or watches.
  • Demonstrable track record of P&L responsibility and meeting ambitious top-line and margin targets.
  • Strong strategic acumen with the ability to translate market insight into actionable commercial plans.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing wholesale and key-account relationships.
  • Capacity to lead and develop diverse teams across functions and geographies.
  • Fluency in business-level commercial analytics and financial reporting.

Experience

Minimum 10 years of progressive commercial experience within luxury retail or brand environments, including significant exposure to jewellery, watches or premium accessories; prior P&L and multi-channel leadership is essential.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
