Role & Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) supporting digital products and analytics.
- Implement data ingestion, transformation and integration processes from multiple sources into the central data platform.
- Support data modelling, schema design and maintain documentation of data flows and pipelines.
- Develop and maintain automated tests, monitoring and data quality checks to ensure reliability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, data analysts, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Prototype data solutions, assist in dashboarding or analytics deliverables, and participate in code reviews and deployment tasks.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python and fluent SQL skills for data extraction and transformation.
- Familiarity with data pipeline concepts, ETL/ELT patterns and basic data modelling principles.
- Practical exposure to cloud platforms and containerisation, and eagerness to learn production-grade tooling.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, aptitude for problem solving and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
Skills
Experience
Prior academic projects or an internship involving data pipelines, ETL, analytics or software development is strongly preferred; demonstrable project work (university, bootcamp or personal) is acceptable for candidates at this level.
Education
Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
