Finance Administrator
Burberry in Turin seeks a Finance Administrator to manage Accounts Payable, reconciliations and month-end close for the Finance & Operations team.

Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the full Accounts Payable cycle for domestic and international suppliers, including receipt, review, recording and archiving of invoices and customs documentation.
- Verify VAT, withholding tax treatment, accounting codes and cost center allocation; prepare monthly and quarterly VAT returns and related reconciliations.
- Perform three-way matching (PO, invoice, receipt) and investigate and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders.
- Maintain supplier ledger: process credit notes, reconcile open items and monitor payment deadlines; prepare supplier payment schedules.
- Prepare and submit Intrastat declarations in compliance with EU regulations.
- Post journal entries and support monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, including accruals and suspense account management.
- Execute periodic reconciliations (vendors, banks, accruals) and assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and consolidated reporting under IFRS.
- Ensure adherence to Group accounting policies, internal controls and regulatory requirements; support internal control testing.
- Provide documentation and supporting schedules for internal and external audits and respond to audit queries.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Product Development, Logistics and Operations; contribute to process improvements, automation and financial systems implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in accounting roles with hands-on Accounts Payable and complex invoice processing.
- Solid knowledge of Italian GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is advantageous.
- Experience working in multinational or highly structured organisations; prior Big Four experience is a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent; knowledge of Gamma (TeamSystem) is desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort with data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of Italian and EU VAT regulations and Intrastat requirements.
- High levels of accuracy, reliability, attention to detail and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement orientation and ability to work in a dynamic international environment.

Demonstrable accounting experience with a strong focus on Accounts Payable, reconciliations and month-end close in multinational or highly structured environments; Big Four experience considered an asset.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
