Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Lead Technical Architect in defining and executing the Cloud and Infrastructure Strategy, ensuring alignment across on-premises and cloud platforms.
  • Design and document end-to-end architectures across Azure, AWS, and on-premises VMware data centers, including compute, storage, backup, and networking components.
  • Contribute to the modernization of existing VMware environments and the migration of workloads to cloud and hybrid models.
  • Develop network and connectivity designs, including WAN, LAN, VPN, and cloud interconnect solutions, ensuring secure and resilient operations.
  • Collaborate with enterprise, solution, and network architects to ensure integration and consistency across infrastructure domains.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing designs.
  • Provide technical assurance, review solution designs, and support project teams in implementing architectural standards.
  • Drive automation, standardization, and adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within hybrid environments.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cloud, data center, and network performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience designing and operating hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure for enterprise-scale environments.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and AWS, delivering secure, scalable IaaS and PaaS solutions.
  • Deep hands-on experience managing VMware-based data centers, including compute, storage, clustering, and virtual networking.
  • Proven delivery and operation of Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) platforms such as HPE SimpliVity.
  • Designed and implemented high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies across cloud and on-prem platforms.

Skills

Strong background in network architecture, including routing, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and load balancing. Delivered secure hybrid connectivity using ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, and site-to-site VPNs. Applied infrastructure security best practices, including hardening, identity, segmentation, and vulnerability management. Implemented Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM templates, and CloudFormation. Effective communicator, translating complex infrastructure designs into clear outcomes for senior stakeholders and delivery teams.

Experience

Extensive experience in designing and operating hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure for enterprise-scale environments is required.
