Boucheron Sapporo is hiring a Senior Sales Associate (Jewelry & Watches). Drive boutique sales, lead clientelling and support management in Sapporo.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as the Maison ambassador by embodying brand values, understanding company goals and driving the boutique to its targets through personal sales performance.
  • Support boutique management in daily operations, coach and develop sales staff, and assume decision-making responsibilities in the absence of management in coordination with the Regional Manager.
  • Achieve and sustain ambitious sales KPIs (target cited: JPY 250,000,000 annual sales) through proactive prospecting, client invitations to in-store and off-site events, and leadership of external sales initiatives.
  • Deliver unique, add-value customer experiences at every touchpoint using advanced sales techniques tailored to jewellery and watch clients.
  • Lead clientelling and CRM initiatives: manage client contact strategy, capture and maintain data, increase repurchase rates, and collaborate with management and colleagues to meet store objectives (including acquiring at least one new diamond client and strengthening two existing diamond client relationships annually).
  • Ensure strict compliance with all Maison and group policies and procedures; participate in daily boutique maintenance (headcount, displays, back-stock organization), periodic inventory, audits and price-change processes.
  • Handle customer service reception tasks and proactively propose operational improvements to enhance boutique efficiency and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable leadership and the ability to coach and motivate a sales team.
  • Strong analytical capability and interpersonal communication skills, including delivering constructive feedback.
  • Deep appreciation of French culture and history as it relates to luxury brand storytelling.
  • Professional qualifications in gemology or jewellery (e.g., GIA G.G., jewellery coordinator) are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum five years' proven experience in luxury retail sales within jewellery and/or watchmaking, with a demonstrable track record of meeting high sales targets and experience in coaching or mentoring colleagues.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; tertiary or vocational qualifications in gemology, jewellery studies or luxury retail management preferred. GIA or equivalent certifications advantageous.
