Boucheron — New York: Business Development & Wholesale Manager to lead US wholesale growth through partnerships, trunk shows and client activations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive business development in the US through client activations, trunk shows, private events and in-store activations with department stores and commercial partners to generate measurable sales.
  • Negotiate, plan and animate trunk shows and partner events, ensuring brand excellence, production quality and commercial return, coordinating with HQ and the wholesale executive.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with stylists, personal shoppers, business introducers and other high-potential connectors to diversify client acquisition channels.
  • Scout and develop new city/region opportunities and commercial partnerships to expand the retail and wholesale footprint in wealthy or strategically relevant areas.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contracting with partners to secure favorable terms that protect brand value, discount practice and receivables, in partnership with HQ.
  • Proactively expand the Maison’s client portfolio in coordination with the Head of Private Client Relations and enrich the CRM with high-potential final clients and prospects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Retail, PR and Events to ensure cohesive brand representation and exceptional client experiences during activations.
  • Track core KPIs (sales, client conversion) and evaluate the impact of activations and partnerships; report insights and recommendations to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • 5–8 years of combined luxury/fashion retail and wholesale experience with proven commercial results; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated ability to originate and grow a client portfolio autonomously.
  • Strong commercial acumen and results-driven orientation.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain high-value relationships with HNWI, tastemakers and industry gatekeepers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills with transparent communication style.
  • Availability to work varied hours, including occasional weekends and holidays, and willingness to travel for local activations.
  • Genuine interest in jewelry and watches and aptitude for acting as a brand ambassador.
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; CRM experience. Foreign language skills are a plus.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 125,000 to USD 145,000 per annum.
