Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Japan VMD strategy in collaboration with the Visual Merchandising Manager.
  • Establish optimized zoning and VMD plans for each store in cooperation with Sales Merchandising and Retail teams.
  • Execute visual merchandising initiatives in collaboration with Store Managers and store VM referees.
  • Conduct regular store visits to monitor visual merchandising and provide guidance and support to Store Managers and VM referees.
  • Manage product launches in stores in coordination with Sales Merchandising, Retail, and Communication teams.
  • Train store staff, particularly VM referees, on visual merchandising to ensure proper maintenance of store displays.
  • Adjust window plans provided by HQs to suit each store's location and stock availability.
  • Facilitate product rotations in windows with store VM referees.
  • Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising Manager to strengthen the VM community among local referees.
  • Prepare regular reports on VMD activities in Japan for HQs and the VMD Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Visual Merchandising.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a back-office role.
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese and basic proficiency in English.

Skills

Initiative and ability to engage cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills. Ability to balance coordination of daily operations with long-term strategic planning. Decision-making skills with the ability to anticipate, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and other office software.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years in Visual Merchandising, with at least 2 years in a back-office capacity.
