Reception & Concierge Trainee (Hospitality)
Belmond — Reception & Concierge Traineeship in Rapallo, Italy. Internship with LVMH Institute of Excellence for hospitality candidates.
Overview
Belmond is an international collection of luxury hotels, trains and cruise experiences, recognised for exceptional service and historic properties. The traineeship is delivered in partnership with the Istituto dei Mestieri d’Eccellenza LVMH, a group initiative that preserves and transmits specialised savoir‑faire through practical training and masterclasses across LVMH Maisons.
Role & Responsibilities
- Attend and complete 400 hours of combined theoretical and practical training delivered at Belmond Academy in Rapallo.
- Participate in an in‑company internship placement at a Belmond property (Italian or international locations) performing front desk and concierge duties.
- Follow specialised modules including English for Hotellerie and role‑specific practical exercises for Receptionist or Concierge functions.
- Take part in LVMH Istituto masterclasses, brand visits and sector meetings to deepen knowledge of luxury service and brand heritage.
- Demonstrate professional presentation, punctuality and adherence to uniform and hospitality standards during training and internship.
Qualifications
- Preferably possess a high‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Open to unemployed, inactive candidates, young adults and those seeking first professional experience.
- Basic to good knowledge of English, with the level depending on the chosen course pathway.
- Demonstrable motivation, strong communication and interpersonal skills, reliability, autonomy and results orientation.
- Willingness to relocate to regions hosting Belmond properties for the internship placement.
