Overview

Role & Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in 400 hours of combined theoretical and practical training at Belmond Academy in Rapallo, including English language classes tailored to hotellerie.
- Complete a specialist culinary curriculum comprising hands‑on kitchen training, mise en place, basic cooking techniques and food hygiene practices.
- Undertake an in‑company stage placement at a Belmond property in Italy or abroad (e.g., Hotel Caruso, Splendido, Cipriani, Reid's Palace) to apply learned skills in a five‑star environment.
- Participate in LVMH Institute Master Classes and brand‑focused site visits delivered by recognised industry professionals.
- Collaborate with brigade teams during service, adhering to kitchen standards, recipes and plating specifications.
- Demonstrate professionalism in guest interaction and support front‑of‑house when required to ensure seamless guest experience.
Qualifications
- Preferably a secondary school diploma (high school) or equivalent.
- Eligible candidates include unemployed, inactive individuals or early‑career candidates seeking first professional experience.
- Basic to good command of English appropriate to the course level; willingness to engage in English training.
- Foundational knowledge relevant to a culinary profile (basic cooking or kitchen exposure preferred).
- High motivation, strong communication and interpersonal skills, reliability, autonomy and results orientation.
- Willingness to relocate to regions where Belmond properties are located for the stage placement.
