Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee all stockroom and back‑of‑house operations in accordance with Balenciaga’s Operations Manual and Kering Global Stockroom Guidelines.
- Manage daily shipping and receiving functions, merchandise intake, and timely processing of repairs, including weekly outbound shipments and follow‑up.
- Conduct cycle counts, monthly store reconciliations and prepare annual inventory according to corporate guidelines.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and negatives; maintain and organize HOH to prevent loss prevention and sales issues.
- Control supplies and costs against budget; ensure packaging, shipping and stationery supplies are stocked and ordered as needed.
- Execute opening and closing procedures and coordinate facility maintenance (HVAC, electrical, fire monitoring, elevators, pest control) with the corporate team.
- Prepare and submit required daily, weekly and monthly reporting (reconciliation, packaging, etc.) and support the sales floor and ad hoc projects as directed by management.
- Coach, manage and develop the stockroom team to drive operational excellence and execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of operational experience within luxury retail, including stockroom or inventory management.
- Proven experience managing, coaching and developing a team in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and JDA retail systems.
- Demonstrated ability to perform cycle counts, inventory reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational skills, commercial awareness and strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to lift and move bulk merchandise and to respond quickly under operational pressure.
Skills
Experience
At least six years of progressive operational experience in luxury retail, with a history of managing stockroom operations, inventory control processes, physical inventories and a small team; experience working to corporate retail guidelines is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, retail management or a related field preferred.
