Role & Responsibilities
- Support Balenciaga Americas business operations across the USA, Canada, and Mexico by collaborating on various financial analyses.
- Proactively engage in data mining and ensure accuracy in accounting information during the migration to SAP.
- Assist in monthly financial closings, general ledger reconciliation, and conduct comprehensive analysis on profit and loss and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare month-end sales margin reports and manage inventory control and analysis, including monthly adjustments and days sales outstanding (DSO).
- Conduct analyses on fixed assets and rents, and assist with the review of operating expenses and monthly accruals.
- Review store rent, payroll, and tenant allowances on a monthly basis.
- Prepare or review journal entries and generate ad hoc reports as needed.
- Identify areas for process improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Act as an ambassador for corporate policies, including travel and expense management, and manage corporate card delinquency reports.
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits.
- Navigate and master multiple accounting systems and sub-ledgers, including SAP, Movex, JDA, and HFM.
- Support the compilation of reporting packages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
- Five years of experience in a similar role, with retail experience considered an advantage.
