Balenciaga seeks a Retail Buying Intern in New York City — paid internship ($17/hr) supporting retail buyers with reporting, pricing and merchandising.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support Retail Buyers with reporting analysis and weekly selling reports.
  • Execute corrective actions on stock allocations and transfers.
  • Monitor and follow up on pricing and competitive market mapping.
  • Compile seasonal Buy Books and organize seasonal product recaps.
  • Prepare training guidelines and tools for retail store teams.
  • Contribute to miscellaneous seasonal merchandising projects and provide administrative support.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and able to receive academic credit (mandatory).
  • Merchandising or retail experience preferred.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Comfortable working with numerical data and product recaps.
  • Problem‑solving aptitude and effective time management.

Experience

Merchandising experience is preferred; prior exposure to retail buying, merchandising, or analytical roles within fashion retail is advantageous.
