Balenciaga — Retail Buying Intern (Europe) in Paris. Six-month internship starting June 2026 supporting Retail Buying Europe with sales, stock and assortment tasks.

Overview

Balenciaga is a Paris-based luxury fashion house known for avant‑garde design and technical innovation. The Maison is part of the Kering group and operates a global network of boutiques and wholesale partners, combining heritage couture expertise with contemporary retail and digital strategies.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of sales performance and stock levels to inform buying decisions.
  • Monitor deliveries, receipts and returns, and ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Manage replenishment processes and optimise product availability across retail points of sale.
  • Provide operational support to retail teams and relay commercial priorities and retail guidelines.
  • Support the Buying team before and during showroom events, including merchandising and preparation tasks.
  • Collect and synthesise field feedback, conduct market analysis and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the product assortment.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s programme (or in a gap year), ideally at a business school (Finance or Consulting) or a fashion school.
  • Prior significant internship experience in buying, finance or consulting; previous experience in fashion or luxury is an advantage.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret data and make commercial recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, service-minded, rigorous, autonomous and adaptable.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Italian is a plus.

Experience

Previous internship experience in buying, finance or consulting is required; exposure to the fashion or luxury sector is strongly preferred.
