Balenciaga — Global Retail Operations Intern in Paris. Six‑month paid internship supporting global retail processes, customer experience analysis and store tools.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Global Retail Operations team in developing and implementing standardized retail procedures and tools across the store network.
  • Assist in defining, harmonizing and tracking global retail processes and produce concise one‑pagers to facilitate local adoption.
  • Collect and analyse market requirements from different regions to feed into operational strategy and improvements.
  • Contribute to customer experience analysis by comparing and interpreting Mystery Shopping, NPS and other experience indices; support creation of follow‑up action plans.
  • Help determine and optimise the scope of store evaluations and build improved tracking mechanisms.
  • Manage aspects of store uniforms and grooming guidelines: gather store feedback, coordinate photoshoots with studio and product teams, and help optimise inventory and reorders.
  • Supervise communication flows between HQ and boutiques and support identification and resolution of store needs and issues.
  • Collaborate with MIS to develop new operational tools and support rollout and adoption of the new store application.
  • Support management of retail assets and services (packaging, drink service, stationery) and coordinate monthly Retail Operations meetings and calls (agenda, materials, minutes).

Qualifications

  • Direct experience in retail and/or retail operations; demonstrated interest in customer service and in‑store journeys.
  • Organised, autonomous and operational with a strong track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and to translate findings into practical operational recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; personable with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with robust problem‑solving skills and the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Pedagogical aptitude — able to explain technical concepts simply to store teams and peers.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a rigorous approach to work.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Availability for a paid 6‑month internship.

Experience

Hands‑on experience in retail environments or retail operations is required; the candidate should be comfortable coordinating cross‑functional projects, analysing customer experience metrics and interacting with store teams across markets. Availability for a six‑month paid internship is mandatory.

Education

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Business, Retail Management, Luxury Management, or a related field (student internship).
