Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of regional information security strategy and roadmap aligned with corporate security objectives and local regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee security operations across Europe, including incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and SOC coordination.
  • Drive implementation and continuous improvement of security controls, standards and policies (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), ensuring consistent application across regional business units and subsidiaries.
  • Manage third‑party and vendor security assessments, ensuring contractual security requirements and remediation plans are enforced.
  • Partner with IT, digital, retail and business stakeholders to embed security by design into projects, cloud migrations and application lifecycles.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship and performance management for regional security staff and act as a point of escalation for major incidents.
  • Prepare and present risk briefings, metrics and compliance reports to regional leadership and global security teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of information security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST CSF) and regulatory regimes relevant to Europe (e.g., GDPR).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders across business and IT functions.
  • Legal right to work in Switzerland and ability to travel regularly across European markets.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or a related field; master's degree or equivalent professional education preferred.
