Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of regional information security strategy and roadmap aligned with corporate security objectives and local regulatory requirements.
- Oversee security operations across Europe, including incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and SOC coordination.
- Drive implementation and continuous improvement of security controls, standards and policies (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), ensuring consistent application across regional business units and subsidiaries.
- Manage third‑party and vendor security assessments, ensuring contractual security requirements and remediation plans are enforced.
- Partner with IT, digital, retail and business stakeholders to embed security by design into projects, cloud migrations and application lifecycles.
- Provide leadership, mentorship and performance management for regional security staff and act as a point of escalation for major incidents.
- Prepare and present risk briefings, metrics and compliance reports to regional leadership and global security teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of information security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST CSF) and regulatory regimes relevant to Europe (e.g., GDPR).
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders across business and IT functions.
- Legal right to work in Switzerland and ability to travel regularly across European markets.
Skills
Experience
Six or more years of progressive experience in information security with demonstrated responsibility for regional or multi‑country security programs; at least three years in a leadership role managing security operations, governance or incident response in enterprise environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or a related field; master's degree or equivalent professional education preferred.
