Role & Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain the enterprise data governance framework, policies and standards to ensure data integrity across product, customer and operational domains.
- Establish and run a data stewardship programme, defining roles, responsibilities and escalation paths for data owners and stewards across business functions.
- Define data quality KPIs, lead data profiling and remediation efforts, and implement continuous monitoring to drive measurable improvement.
- Lead selection, configuration and deployment of data governance and data quality tools (data catalog, MDM, DQ platforms) in collaboration with IT.
- Coordinate cross‑functional governance forums and act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT and external partners.
- Manage data lineage, metadata management and master data processes to support reporting, compliance (including privacy) and downstream systems.
- Develop training, documentation and change management materials to embed governance best practices into daily operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Certifications or formal training in data governance, data management or related frameworks (e.g., DAMA, DGSP) are strongly preferred.
- Demonstrable ability to influence senior stakeholders and to coordinate cross‑functional programmes in complex international organisations.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in defining KPIs, managing data quality remediation and presenting insight to leadership.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is desirable given the Swiss‑Romande location.

Approximately 5+ years of progressive experience in data governance, data quality or master data management roles, including proven delivery of governance programmes and tool implementations in a multi‑national environment.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
