Overview

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead commercial and operational performance for Alaia's retail footprint across assigned European countries, setting targets and overseeing execution to achieve sales, margin and KPI objectives.
- Manage, coach and develop multi-country store management teams and district managers, establishing consistent service, visual merchandising and clienteling standards.
- Own P&L responsibility for the region, preparing forecasts, analysing variances and implementing corrective actions to protect profitability.
- Define and deploy regional retail strategies in collaboration with HQ functions (merchandise, marketing, inventory and CRM) to maximise sell-through and localisation.
- Drive recruitment, talent planning and performance reviews for area staff; ensure training and succession programs align with brand standards.
- Control stock flow and allocation at a regional level; coordinate seasonal buys, inter-store transfers and sell-off plans to optimise inventory turnover.
- Represent the brand externally with key wholesale partners, landlords and local stakeholders; negotiate commercial terms where required.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and country-specific risks; recommend tactical and strategic adjustments to leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership in luxury retail with responsibility for multi-country operations and cross-border teams.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving sales growth, margin improvement and KPI-driven retail governance.
- Strong commercial acumen, experience with regional P&L ownership and financial forecasting.
- Ability to translate global brand strategy into consistent in-market execution across diverse retail environments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with experience recruiting, coaching and retaining high-performing retail teams.
- Willingness to travel frequently across the European region and to work flexible hours as market needs require.
Skills
Experience
At least 7 years of progressive experience in luxury or premium retail, including multiple years managing regional or multi-country teams and direct P&L responsibility.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Luxury Brand Management or equivalent professional experience.
