Overview
Alaia is a Paris-based haute couture and ready-to-wear house renowned for sculptural silhouettes and meticulous artisanal craftsmanship. The label operates with atelier sensibilities, favouring close collaboration between design, product and production teams to deliver technically refined, luxury garments and footwear.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the footwear product manager across the full product lifecycle, from concept to production launch.
- Prepare and maintain tech packs, material and trim specifications, and detailed construction notes for each shoe style.
- Coordinate sample development and fittings; follow up with ateliers and suppliers to track approvals and corrective actions.
- Assist with costing, margin tracking and production scheduling in collaboration with sourcing and production teams.
- Compile presentation materials and collection dossiers for internal review and sales teams.
- Liaise with quality control and logistics to ensure on-time delivery of samples and production goods.
- Document product changes and update PLM/ERP records to ensure traceability and version control.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in fashion design, product development, industrial design, or related discipline.
- Demonstrable interest in footwear construction and materials, with an eagerness to learn technical development processes.
- Highly organised, methodical approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise professionally with internal teams and external suppliers.

Experience
Previous internship experience in fashion product development, footwear, or technical design is advantageous but not mandatory; candidates should demonstrate relevant academic project work or practical exposure to product development processes.
Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion/Product Development, Industrial Design, or a closely related field.
