A candidate who cannot trust that the opportunity they are viewing is legitimate, or that their personal information will be handled with discretion, cannot engage meaningfully with the platform. An employer who cannot trust the quality and authenticity of the talent pool they access cannot invest in the relationship.
Cerulean has built the infrastructure of trust deliberately and with care.
Brand Vetting
Every employer on the Cerulean platform has been verified. We do not permit unverified entities to post opportunities under established luxury brand names. Our verification process ensures that a listing at a Chanel boutique is precisely what it represents itself to be.
This matters particularly in the luxury context, where the prestige of a brand name creates a specific vulnerability to misrepresentation. We take this responsibility seriously.
Data Privacy
Cerulean collects only the personal data necessary to provide the services a user has requested. We do not sell personal data. We do not aggregate and trade user profiles for advertising purposes. Our approach to data is governed by the same principle that governs our editorial curation: precision, not excess.

Fraud Prevention
The luxury recruiting sector attracts fraudulent actors who leverage prestigious brand names to extract personal information or payments from job seekers. Cerulean employs multiple layers of fraud detection to identify and remove fraudulent listings before they reach candidates:
- Employer identity verification at point of registration
- Pattern detection for suspicious listing behaviour
- Rapid response processes for community reports of suspicious activity

A Note on Legitimate Luxury Recruitment
Legitimate luxury employers will never ask you to pay a fee to apply for a role, purchase equipment in advance of employment, or provide sensitive financial information during the application process.
