The luxury industry has produced some of the world’s most iconic works of human creativity. It has also, like every industry, been shaped by historical structures that have too often determined access on the basis of background rather than talent. We believe the next chapter of luxury must be different — that the maisons of the future will be distinguished not only by the excellence of their products but by the richness and diversity of the human talent that creates them.
What We Believe
Diversity of perspective creates better work. The greatest luxury brands are defined by their capacity to surprise — to produce the unexpected, the resonant, the enduring. That capacity is nourished by teams who bring different lives, different references, and different ways of seeing to their métiers. Homogeneity, however comfortable, is antithetical to creative excellence.
Equity is not charity — it is strategy. The luxury conglomerates that have most deliberately cultivated diverse leadership pipelines have, over time, built more resilient, more innovative, and more globally relevant businesses. We share this conviction with their HR and talent acquisition leaders, and we have built our platform to support it.
Inclusion requires active design, not passive intent. A commitment to inclusion that exists only in mission statements changes nothing. Cerulean has designed its curation standards, its candidate experience, and its partnership criteria to actively support access for professionals from underrepresented communities in luxury.
